TWO AWARDS FROM EUROPE TO IKON PROJE

International Property Awards 2017-2018 awards, held for the 26th time in London, found their owners. Ikon Proje was awarded in 2 categories in the categories of “Award Winner Residential High-rise Architecture Turkey” and “Award Winner Retail Architecture Turkey”.

The 2017 winners of the European Property Awards, organized in the categories of Architecture, Interior Design, Development, and Real Estate and consisting of a total of 48 sub-categories, have been announced.
In the “European Property Awards” ceremony, the European leg of the “International Property Awards 2017” held for the 26th time this year in London, Ikon Proje was awarded in 2 different categories as a result of the evaluation made by the international jury of 70 people, which brought together experts from many different disciplines.
Having signed many projects with its designs, Ikon Proje has won awards with the “38. Cadde” architectural project in the “Award Winner Residential High-rise Architecture Turkey” category and ”KUMS – Kayseri International Furniture Palace” architectural project in the “Award Winner Retail Architecture Turkey” category at the 2017-2018 European Property Awards, one of the most prestigious events in the region.

38. CADDE
Our 38. Cadde project, which received an award in the “Residential High-rise Architecture” category, is located on Talas Boulevard in Melikgazi district of Kayseri.
The building group that emerged during the design process aims to bring a new proposal to the lives of people with modern urban life. In residential solutions, the living spaces are planned in the direction of the dominant landscape and to the south.
While the large floor gardens of each flat bring the green into the residences, they allow an outdoor life far above the standards. The panorama that surrounds you from the entrance hall in the residences accompanies life in every corner of the house with its high ceiling and wide windows designed throughout the floor. The project has been designed in a way that allows privacy and crowded guests at the same time in accordance with the different uses of the residential life during the day, and presented the fluid space setup, interior living space and rich landscaped gardens in a way that supports each other. With its green gardens and large recreation area, the project, which has 2 indoor parking lots for each unit, surrounds the residences and presents an integrity with walking paths, hobby gardens, sports and entertainment areas.
Considering the terrestrial climate of Kayseri and the temperature differences between day and night, it is preferable in terms of energy efficiency that the block settlements are directed to the south and west while creating the layout plan. In addition, the residential blocks are planned to be oriented according to the references of Mount Erciyes and Mount Ali in a way that defines a common recreational area located in the south of the land, and the commercial units are planned in such a way that they do not intersect with the site users and are connected to the outer road. There are 5.000 m² commercial area and 224 residences within the parcel area.

KUMS-Kayseri International Furniture Palace
Our KUMS-Kayseri International Furniture Palace project, which received an award in the “Retail Architecture” category, is located on the Northern ring road of Kayseri Kocasinan district.
The KUMS project is a building group with functions such as Shopping Center, Business Centers, Workshops, Construction Market, Fuel Station, Hotel and Commercial. The Project Area consists of a closed area of 900.000 m² in total on a 1.350.000 m² land.
The construction process of the workshop buildings has been completed and it consists of 380.000 m² closed area. The workshops consist of 750 workplaces. The Shopping Center structure, which currently has a closed area of 302,000 m², is 65% complete. It consists of shops, entertainment areas, fast food areas, restaurants, children’s playgrounds, banks and 600 stores. The project studies of the Hotel and Business Center buildings have been completed and are being prepared for the tender process.
In the north of the project area, which has very strong land data, there is the Northern ring road, high-speed train connection line and Nuh Naci Yazgan University. In the west, there is a connection road located on the same axis as the intercity bus terminal and the Bedded State Hospital. In this respect, it is located at a very advantageous point for intercity transportation.
Considering these data, the shopping center building was planned in the area close to the northern ring road and it was ensured to reach the building from 4 main axes. Workshop structures fed by internal roads were placed in the southern part of the land, and a hotel, business center and DIY market were planned in the area just to the left of the shopping center. The whole of the building is perceived over the Kayseri Ankara Sivas ring road.

Ikon Proje received its awards at the award ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel London on 26 October. Chosen among more than 200 participants in Europe, Ikon Proje showed that it is one of the best in the architecture industry.
