Within the scope of the technical support project for the establishment of MOBITEK, a visit to Spain Design Schools was carried out between 1-7 July. In this context, we were fisrtly at Elisava, one of the design schools.
ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering was founded in 1961 in Barcelona, one of the design capitals of Europe, and is the first university in Spain to be a pioneer by providing design-oriented education.
After Elisava, Barcelona Design Center was visited. Information about design, innovation, entrepreneurship and international promotions were given here. After visiting the Barcelona Design Center, we went to Valencia, the third largest city in Spain.
Afterwards, we had discussions about design, innovation statistics and consultancy services in València, with the meeting held at IVACE.
The Valencian Business Competition Authority (IVACE) is a public institution of the Valencian government, subordinate to the Department of Economy, Industry, Tourism. The objectives of the Institute are to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, internationalization and investment. They continue to work to support technological clusters, industrial products, facilities and increase savings, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
After Ivace, the last stop of our technical trip, AIMME Institute was visited. AIMME is a technology institute founded in 1984, dealing with metalworking, woodworking, furniture, packaging. Within the scope of the Institute, studies such as product development, automation, surface treatments and coatings, wastewater and waste treatment, mechanical tests, material characterization, transportation, product, climate, physical and chemical analysis are carried out. AIMME is an R&D center that provides technical support and training tailored to the needs of SMEs.
Detailed information about design, product development and R&D processes was obtained through bilateral meetings held at the visited institutions.
